New Delhi (PTI): The Budget session of Lok Sabha got off on a stormy note on Thursday
with members of BJP, Samajwadi Party and Left parties forcing two brief adjournments
during Question Hour by creating uproar over the hike in petrol and diesel prices.
Soon after the House met, MPs from SP and Left parties were on their feet to protest
against the hike in petrol and diesel prices announced on Wednesday.
BJP and Shiv Sena members too lent their support, raising slogans and accusing the
government of being anti-farmer. They said the increase in diesel prices would hit the
farmers.
