Two gymnasium mates held on murder charge

SRINAGAR: The police have arrested two gymnasium mates of Asrar Mushtaq, 20, of Maisuma here in connection with the July 3 death of the youth. He was allegedly murdered by the two after a feud over a girl, who befriended them through Facebook and Orkut, social networking sites, the police said. Asrar’s death sparked violent protests in Srinagar. Life came to standstill for five days, following allegations that he was killed by the police in custody.
