Basics of Astrology

Astrology is defined as "the art or practice of fixing the supposed influence of planets and their movements in human affairs and human mind.

The practice can produce a chart - a chart (or graph) of the relative positions of the planets and zodiac signs a given time, usually at birth. A forecast can be produced.

The Zodiac

Western Astrology dating back around 500 BC with a concept called the zodiac is developing. This consists of an imaginary sphere surrounding the Earth that followed the path of the sun through the constellations during the year. Zodiac is divided into twelve sections, each the name of the particular constellation in the area. 

Elements

Many ancient philosophies used a number of classical elements to explain the nature of how behavior. Each character was linked to one of the classical elements (fire, earth, air or water) and also covers an area of interest, social, personal and universal. 

  

1. Water signs are associated with growth processes, identification and emotion. Together with the other elements, consider water, fire, boiler, air will evaporate, but soil and channel forms.

2. Fire signs are associated with action, passion and energy. Together with the other elements, fire believe that the earth will be drowned, the water will drown, but the fan and encouraged.

3. Air signs are associated with thought, perspective and communication. Together with the other elements, considers air, water will darken the earth is suffocating but fire will inspire and elevate it.

4. Earth signs are associated with sensation, stability and comfort. Together with the other elements, believes the earth, the air is dry, dry fire, but cold water and fodder. 

Guidelines

Each signal is connected to one of three modes; Cardinal (sometimes called furniture), fixed and mutable.

There are four quadrants, the order of zodiacales characters, with three characters each. Each quadrant describes a season that begins with a cardinal sign, follows a fixed sign, and ends with a moving character.

Arrangements and Related Zodiac Signs

1. Moving signs are related to adaptability, ingenuity and holism. They are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.

2. Fixed signs are associated with the determination, focus and individuality. They are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.

3. Cardinal signs are related to creativity and initiation. They are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

Characteristics of Zodiac Sign

1. Aries (cardinal, fire, personal): defensive, aggressive head, energetic, impulsive, down, 

2. Taurus (fixed, earth, personal): patient, indulgent, resourceful, thorough, dedicated. 

3. Gemini (mutable, air, personal): quick, logical, curious. 

4. Cancer (cardinal, water, personal): attachment, protective, sensitive. 

5. Leo (fixed, fire, social): theater, proud, generous, 

6. Virgo (mutable, earth, social): critical, practical, efficient. 

7. Libra (cardinal, air, social): lazy, fair, cooperative. 

8. Scorpio (fixed, water, social): anxious, passionate, sensitive. 

9. Sagittarius (mutable, fire, universal): careless, direct, free 

10. Capricorn (cardinal, earth, universal): suspicious, cautious, wary. 

11. Aquarius (fixed, air, universal) independent, unconventional, democratic 

12. Pisces (mutable, water, universal): inattentive, sensitive, imaginative.
