Cong finally bids goodbye to TJAC

The Congress legislators have finally said goodbye to the Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising TDP, TRS, PRP, BJP and people’s organisations.

They have formed what will be known as Telangana Congress Action Committee (TCAC) to bring pressure on the party leadership to deliver Telangana by staying as legisaltors.

They appealed to the agitating Telangana students to withdraw their tomorrow’s `Chalo Assembly’ programme and to understand the Congress party’s commitment to the cause.

Several Telangana Congress public representatives including MPs, MLCs, MLAs met at the Assembly committee hall here and adopted six resolutions including breaking away from the TJAC. The other resolutions adopted at the meeting are Seeking suspension of Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for his remarks on Telangana, appointment of a women officer to probe police attack on girl students in Osmania University campus, appeal to students to withdraw `Chalo Assembly’ programme and constitution of Telangana Congress Action Committee.
