A doctor in a Jodhpur hospital injected HIV positive blood to a patient suffering from an inherited blood disease.
According to media reports the total number of children who were the victims of this medical negligence is five, while others say it has increased to six.
Reports say that these children contracted the disease at Umaid Hospital at the time of blood transfusion.
In order to wash of their hands from this allegation the hospital authorities stated that the HIV infection in children might have occurred from elsewhere.
Hospital Superintendent Dr DR Dabi stated that the blood transmission system prescribed by NACO (National Aids Control Organisation) is infallible.
