India's renowned fashion designer duos Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra, and Neeru and Harish unveiled their latest collections on the final day of the Bangalore Fashion Week on Sunday.
From ravishing outfits to thematic garb, from natural fabrics to that fabrics made from paper, from soft pastels to vibrant colours, from top models to Bollywood celebrities, all were a part of the four-day event organized in the city.
The designers presented their winter/spring creations at the fashion extravaganza, which included some of the biggest names in the Indian fashion industry, including Shantanu, Nikhil, Abdul Halder and Rehanne.
Shantanu and Nikhil's latest collection was inspired by Ladakh. The gray earth and blue skies were portrayed in pale hues in their designs.
"The collection was inspired from Ladakh; the nature is very still over there. When you are still, you see emotions, which are pure and this is what we have tried to depict in our collections. There is no sadness; in fact the journey is of exploration by using the textures of the earth. The fabrics that we have used are specially developed from paper to jersey, to net, to silk. We have used pretty much everything in this collection," said Nikhil Mehra.
