History Of Instant Coffee

Many Americans believe that instant coffee was invented in the USA. Unfortunately, Americans do not invent instant coffee. The first instant brew was made in Chicago, but the person who discovered it was Japanese. Mr. Satori Kato worked as a scientist in Chicago, when he discovered how to make coffee back in 1901. Indeed, like most important discoveries of our time, discovered Mr. Kato process of making powdered coffee by accident.

After discovering the process of making instant coffee, Mr. Kato was trying to find ways to introduce instant coffee to the public. Then he took his powdered coffee in front of the world at the time of the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. Although there was a lot of people who expressed interest in the discovery of Mr. Kato, the instant coffee does not become an instant hit. Many people prefer to brew their coffee at the time.

Shortly after the discovery of instant coffeeby Mr. Kato, developed Mr. George Constant Washington Louis its own way to make powdered coffee. Contrary to Mr. Kato, who was more concerned about the scientific aspect of his discovery, Mr. Washington was more interested in the commercial value of his powdered coffee. Instead of simply presenting his discovery to the public, he set out to produce its instant coffee commercially. In 1938 was marked Nescafe launched commercially. Until now, most people were interested in buying the coffee powder. U.S. and many parts of the world was just recovering from the depression at that time and since instant coffee is less expensive than the traditional coffee, instant brew. Indeed, during the Second World War, instant brew was so popular that Nescafe became a household name all over the world.
