Italian Appetizers Make Easy and Delicious Bridal Shower Food

Bridal showers should be fun and relaxing for the bride, but that does not mean that her bridesmaids have to stress too much. It is possible to plan a Bridal Shower that does not require a great effort, but seems elegant and elaborate.

One way to do this is to simplify Bridal Shower food. Instead of making a time consuming full meal, why not provide guests with a selection of Italian appetizers? They are filling and easy to eat without having to sit down with a fork and knife, and they offer guests variation rather than a set of food option. Paired with a selection of wines and arranged in nice dishes, these Italian appetizers make a tasty and elegant statement.

A particularly popular appetizer is the brochette. Thanks Volpi Foods, the oldest and most prestigious authentic Italian meat producer in the U.S., making brochette is easier - and tastier - than ever. Volpi produces Italian traditional rotola which is thinly sliced prosciutto hand-rolled in whole-milk mozzarella. A particular crowd-pleasing brochette recipe uses Volpi's Basil Rotola, which includes basil leaves between layers of mozzarella cheese and ham.

To make this brochette, first preheat the broiler on low. Take a bread and cut vertical slices about half a cm thick. Place these slices on a baking paper and light toast in broiler. When the bread is slightly golden brown, remove from oven and spread a thin layer of basil pesto on top of each slice of bread. Cut a packet of Volpi Basil Rotola into slices about 1 / 4 inch thick, then place a slice on top of each slice of bread. To make them into mini pizzas, add pesto and rotola slices of bread slices before toasting them to make mozzarella cheese melt a bit.

This modern interpretation of traditional Italian brochette recipe saves time in the kitchen and makes a savory addition to any party menu. Mozzarella and prosciutto combination with basil, garlic and pine nuts in pesto creates a mouth water and multifaceted flavor that will have your guests coming back for more. Suggested beverage pairings include dry sparkling wine or Pinot Grigio wine.

You can even slice and serve Volpi Rotola as an Italian appetizer in itself. Plus, it comes in other variants, such as sun-dried tomato, Hot Salami and Hot Capocolla. Just be sure the slices with olive and biscuits for a delicious antipasto platter.

You do not need to be a chef to prepare gourmet meals Bridal Shower, and you do not need to hire an expensive caterer. Thrill your guests - and the bride - with simple Italian appetizers that come Bridal Shower food from ordinary to extraordinary.
