Pick Pasta For Dinner When You're in a hurry

Pasta is one of your greatest opportunities for a quick and simple meal. Simply place the pasta in boiling water and can be cooked in less than 15 minutes. And at the same time as the pasta is boiling you can make your desired sauce. Whether you go for a light tomato sauce, pesto or creamy sauce, you can be ready in an instant. Here are some guidelines for a quick and simple pasta dish.

Do not add the pasta to the pot before it reaches a full boil. This will keep the pasta from becoming mushy and sticky. In addition, keep the water at a boil at all times. You can help the pasta still less mushy, if you add a little salt to the water. Take note that you should not cover the pot after you add the pasta. You will need to test now and again to see if the noodles are cooked. Pasta cooks very quickly and leave it for too long can lead to soggy noodles. When pasta is done, take it out of the water immediately. It will keep cooking, if it remains in the water.

And now, half of your work is finished. The other half is preparing the sauce. The big feature of noodles is that there are countless opportunities to expand it. If you're a pasta lover then have one or two varieties of sauces stored up in your refrigerator is the perfect way to go.

Pesto provides a quick and easy topping. Add some garlic, mushrooms, or perhaps a bit of Italian sausage, even with some grated parmesan, and you have a delicious meal in an instant. Some canned or bottled sun-dried tomatoes also work with pasta and lets you enjoy the tomato-based pasta without the traditional sauce. Top with grated cheese and accompany it with some fresh bread for a filling meal. If you feel like a cream-based sauce, simply combine some sliced olives, sour cream, and oregano. Top it with a little grated Parmesan cheese. It is a simple topping, but very appetizing.

Olive oil is also perfect with pasta and can be quite simple to use as well. Try combining olive oil with some sliced sausage or canned seafood. You can add some basil to taste and do not forget the grated cheese. If you want to experiment, try adding some spicy meat such as pepperoni.

Pasta help you get dinner on the table in no time. In just 15 to 20 minutes you can prepare a hearty dinner of pasta blanketed with a number of delicious toppings. With all the possible alternatives, it is a quick and easy cooking meals that you never get tired of.
