Joannie Rochette thought she’d grown used to the cameras, the standing ovations, the pressure of putting on the perfect performance.
But the stress of strutting down a fashion runway — and for a cause so dear to her heart — sent the bronze-medal winner into a mild state of post-Olympics panic yesterday.
“I was more nervous than when I was competing,” said Rochette, one of 19 celebrities to showcase Canadian designers during LG Fashion Week’s The Heart Truth show highlighting the mounting death toll of heart disease among women.
