Though the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) rashtriya rally in Lucknow on Monday was aimed to mark the birth anniversary of the party's founder Kanshiram, BSP supremo and chief minister Mayawati had more mention of the Congress Party than Kanshiram, said Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee's (UPCC) chief spokesperson Subodh Srivastava here on Monday evening.
Describing the event as a flop show, Srivastava said that despite the blatant misuse of government machinery and public money, the BSP failed to reach even close to their claim of turnout estimates. "There was not a single thing in her speech for the people of the state, its development or government policies to pull the state out of the prevailing financial crisis," he said. On the contrary, her address showed the extent of Congress phobia that the BSP chief was presently passing through, he said.
"Her address had nothing more than what she has said in her earlier rallies.
