IPL CEO Lalit Modi is a real genius. First he tried to copy the English Premier League and ‘club culture’ from the Soccer world. He changed soccer with cricket and gave us IPL which has turned out to be one of the biggest and most successful sporting events in the world history. Now he is trying to put another feather in his cap by adding another charisma to the IPL. He has decided to organize an ‘Oscar Award’ type award ceremony where the IPL players will be felicitated in different categories.
Coming 23 April, we will see the biggest Awards night, which will be hosted by none other than SRK himself along with his best friend Karan Johar. This will be hosted in Grand Hyatt Mumbai just before two days before the IPL final match.
Though this event, famously named as Cricketainment, will be telecasted in May on Colours, but the good thing is it will see India’s almost all the big stars performing on the same stage. It includes Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan. So it is gonna be worth the wait.
