Eugene Terreblanche 'killers' in South Africa court

The two farm workers, aged 28 and 15, have admitted beating him to death in a dispute over unpaid wages, police say.

There is a heavy police presence outside the court in the north-western town of Ventersdorp, after the killing raised racial tensions in the country.

About 200 supporters of Terreblanche's paramilitary AWB group are also at the court, some holding placards.

They are refusing to speak to black journalists.

A smaller group of members of the local black community - some wearing ANC T-shirts - is also outside the court.

They are not chanting or singing but the atmosphere is tense.

The AWB - Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging or Afrikaner Resistance Movement - on Monday retracted its initial threat to take revenge for Terreblanche's killing.
