The Amitabh Bachchan controversy is likely to erupt again instead of subsiding with Congress keeping a keen eye on May 1 when Gujarat observes the golden jubilee of its foundation. The state seems to be planning lavish celebrations with the megastar on the dais.
A day after Congress indicated it wanted to defuse Bachchan-bashing, Gujarat Congress warned that the star's presence in any celebration appearing to be promoting Brand Modi will bring him in the line of fire. Leader of Opposition Shaktisinh Gohil on Thursday insisted the star clarify if he "approves Modi's role in 2002 riots".
