The simplest way to cook Quinoa

Many quinoa recipes use quinoa that has already been cooked and prepared before, including in a recipe. That's why you hear people talking about cooking quinoa twice. Once you have prepared the quinoa in this way is it ready to be taken in all sorts of dishes replace rice or coos cous as a base for meals. It is excellent in salads and other cold menus and recipes. By adding chopped vegetables such as cucumber, leaf lettuce and rocket you have a nice meal.

Step 1

Rinse quinoa in a fine seive with cold water. Do this process twice to ensure that all layers are gone. If you purchased unprocessed quinoa is very important to follow this soaking procedure.

Step 2

Measure out one cup of quinoa to two cups water in a saucepan.

Step 3

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring gently, to ensure it does not stick to the pan. The quinoa is to boil the water and then you can let it simmer for another 10 minutes or even longer. The time you cook it will either firm and crunchy with such a short time or very soft and chewy with a long cooking time. All water be absorbed while quinoa is simmering. The quinoa will double in size during cooking. Remove saucepan from the hob.

Step 4

Your quinoa is now ready to serve as a substitute for rice with curry and other dishes. This particular grain is very versatile and should be incorporated into many recipes and meals. You will find that quinoa takes on the taste of the food is cooked with. The crispness and frimness of this cereal makes a meal satisfying and filling.

It is also willing to include in the recipes that are in quinoa recipes book.
