Egg: a varied and nutritious food source

Boiled, baked, raw and exotic eggs contributions to diet are studied. 

The concept of eating any animal embryo may deter many food lovers, but their practical, taste and nutritional benefits makes eggs a highly desired food source. 

Chickens are efficient producers, and are easy to raise. They can also adapt to different climates and can be combined with other forms of agriculture. All these factors mean that the egg eaters of the world has little to worry about. 
Egg Nutrition 

Protein in eggs, weighing (weight for weight) about the same as pork and chicken, about three quarters of beef, and about two thirds as much as whole milk cheese. Eggs are also inexpensive, making them an important staple for developing countries. 

A chicken egg is high in vitamins A and D, most of the B vitamins and iron and phosphorus. It also contains about 75 calories, 61 of them in egg yolk. The amount of cholesterol in eggs has provided much prized edible bit of a bad rap. But many researchers now believe that eating eggs has little effect on people with normal cholesterol levels.

Fish eggs or caviar, are set back in the days of Aristotle. The literature of Aristotle reveals Greek banquets, where caviar was served in the Royal platters garnished with flowers. Persians had a name for caviar, which they called "cha was" or cake of power.

Other Egg Benefits 

There are many advantages to eggs, since they are not only abundant, easy to find and can not flee, they provide and maintain life, as all higher animals must pass through an egg stage. Eggs are also a very nutritious food source for animals, even if they were their own. The national seed of Puerto Rico, the Coqui, eat frogs eggs whole. Some birds are also known to eat bird eggs and some fish eat fish eggs. 

Eggs are an interesting and wonderful contribution to the palate, with many people taking pleasure in shapes and forms egg donations for breakfast. The culinary world is also heavily indebted to the egg as it provides structure that binds the ingredients and give lightness to food. Indeed, without the egg would bakers around the world just can not be the same even close.
