BSE Sensex tracks weak Asian markets


MUMBAI (Reuters) – The BSE Sensex (^BSESN : 14658.65 +0.16) opened 0.7 percent
lower on Friday after Asian shares slipped and investors held back from taking large
positions ahead of next week's federal budget.
By 9.56 a.m. (0426 GMT), the 30-share BSE Index was down 0.4 percent at 14,596.7
points, with 23 stocks falling.
The 50-share NSE (^NSEI : 4356.25 +7.4) index was 0.5 percent lower at 4,327.8 points.
