Solapur (PTI): Five persons, including a seven-year-old child was killed and three others injured in a road accident near Ule village on Solapur-Osmanabad road, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday night when a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Mohsin Kazi (21), Balaji Barkul (35), Yash Barkul (7), Yogesh Tawate (16) and Ashok Shinde (32), they said.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.
The deceased were on their way to Yermala in the district when the accident occured, police said adding further investigation is on.
