India’s No 1 golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has pulled out of the British Open due to a nagging rib injury two days before the year’s third Major gets underway at Turnberry, Scotland. The injury means the 38-year-old golfer will be out of action for at least three weeks.
“When I went out yesterday to play 18 holes, it was hurting. Even when I was taking deep breaths, it was hurting and when that happens you know it’s back,” said Jeev, who played in the US Open last month despite pain and missed the cut.
