Aerobics is nothing but a system of exercises for preventing coronary artery diseases, which was first put forwarded by a physician named Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper in San Antonio Air Force Hospital in the Texas. Shortly after the publication of Cooper's book about the pursuit system, aerobics in 1968, a person known as Jackie Sorenson developed a series of movements known as aerobic dance to a substantial increase endurance. In this way, aerobic dancing and other exercises gain existence and made its degree of caution among the masses throughout the U.S. and many other counties and that too in a very short by about two decades. The number of aerobics participant in the U.S. alone raises from an estimated 6 million in 1978 to 19 million in 1987.
