Legions in Aion are one of the most important things in Aion. Legions are required for things like sieging or mass PvP, solely due to the type of organization it allows. Not to mention it helps significantly when doing groups or when you wish to go into a dungeon.
When looking at legions there are two choices: You can make one or you can join one. Most players choose to join one just because it is easier, and you still get the same benefits. To make one will cost a lot of Kinah and other work. Along with this, to make a legion you are required to be level 10, but to join one there is no level requirement.
When in a legion you will have access to the legion chat, and you will also have the ability to see other members of your legion. To use the legion's chat, type /legion to move into the “legion” chat box. This will allow you to type messages to others. To get to the legion just press “g.” This will instantly open the legion menu for you. As a member of a legion there is not much you need to know other than the above, but what about for the leaders?
First of all, to be a legion leader is not an easy task. You are brought up with the necessary requirement (if you want the legion to become a “factor” one) of keeping everyone active and ensuring people are working towards the progression of your legion. If this is not done, it will fall apart or just will not go anywhere.
If you are ready to make a legion, follow these steps:
Your first step is to obtain the necessary Kinah. At this time, the amount required to start the legion is a little under 15,000 (which is not hard to obtain). If you already have this, you are ready to move on to the NPC.
For Elyos, this NPC is located in Sanctum, at the south west end of the map.
For Asmodian, this NPC is located in Pandaemonium, in the north east of the middle of the map.
Your location you want to go to is the “Legion Administration Office.” Here you will find the NPC required to start your legion.
Here you will speak to the NPC and pay the fee and he will ask what you wish for the name to be. You are able to use spaces in the name! So you can use a name such as “Elyos FTW” or whatever you want.
Once your legion is created you will have access to the leader section of the legion, and you will also be able to invite new players.Type “/InviteToLegion” to invite others to your legion.
The legions will use currency, and the currency in Aion is called Aion kinah
Opening your legion menu will give access to many different options such as inviting or kicking members, setting a legion notice, upgrading or changing aspects relating to players' privileges in the legion (such as who can invite others) and more. The legion customizing (privileges and everything) is self-explanatory so we will not bother with that in this guide.
