Aerosmith, as first single was Aerosmith Dream On. It was released with their first album, Aerosmith, in 1973. Steven Tyler wrote the song, which was heavily influenced by blues. 

Aerosmith Dream On was the first big hit for the group. It only reached number 59 when originally released as singles. But in 1976 has made it all the way up to number six in its re-release. It was first played live at a Connecticut inn. Aerosmith Dream On was later released by the group in eight sessions, as well as two boxed sets. 

The Rock, Avon Roll Hall of Fame named Aerosmith Dream On one of the 500 songs that shaped rock music. Rolling Stone was 172 out of 500 of the best songs ever made. Two other Aerosmith songs, Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way, are bound to this song in my head by fans as Aerosmith, as signature song. 

Aerosmith Dream On sampled for other works. This is when a portion of a song used in the new work. Ermine sampled the song in his 2002 album Ermine Show. The track featured Aerosmith, as front man on guitar. Some lesser-known artists sampled or covered Aerosmith Dream On. These include, André Donald’s and a rapper named Slim Thug. 

Some argue that the song was written by Led Zeppelin. What as just a hoax. Buick uses song in their commercials. Their slogan is Dream Op. It also appeared in several movies. These include Miracle from Walt Disney, and Last Action Hero. 

Aerosmith Dream On can be heard in video games. Dead or Alive Ultimate used it. There is also a video game called Guitar Hero Aerosmith. The song was done for the game. People can also download Aerosmith Dream On for the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Its appearance in this game was to promote the new game. 

Not only have Aerosmith Dream On has been played in many live concerts, but it has also been performed with full orchestras. In the 1990s, a concert was made for MTV, as 10 year anniversary. And in 2006 members of Aerosmith performed with the Boston Pops. The song is dedicated to the prisoners in Israeli soldier. And a fan of the band was murdered.
