Fresh mushrooms with sherry and walnuts Recipe

This is a Spanish mushroom recipe that will satisfy all mushroom lovers in your household.


It serves about 6 people and is good as a side dish or an entree, as long as you adjust the size of portions. 

Mushrooms with walnuts Recipe 

Ingredients Needed: 

2 tablespoons butter 
Two T. oil 
1 / 2 lb (3 cup) organic mushrooms 
half c. chopped toasted walnuts 
Two Tables dry sherry 
1 tablespoon lemon juice 
1 t. orange zest, grated 
Two T. fresh parsley (finely chopped) 
Salt to taste 

Hers what you should do:

In a saucepan or frying pan and heat gently melt the butter and oil together. 

Turn the heat to medium heat and add mushrooms, sauté them gently until they are tender. 
Now add the sherry, lemon juice, walnuts and citrus peel. Sauté the mixture for 60 seconds or so, stirring well to ensure mushrooms are covered with liquid. 

To serve, sprinkle with parsley and salt to taste.
