Hand Raising Birds - an exciting opportunity and Great Experience

Raising a baby bird sounds like an excellent idea. The concept of raising them as a baby is almost a pleasure, which compares to raise your own child. But it is not always easy to raise a child from the start. Like all babies, you must have patience, supplies, food, and a lot of love. But the ultimate goal is satisfying and worthwhile. So if you just bought your baby bird from a local pet shop, or just have your baby bird hatched from his parents, you must take care of them and eventually you will have a bird that is not only healthy and active, but also love you as much as your own child would.

Birds raised you can have a very strong connection to you. They will see you as their parents. This way they can be a good companion when they get older. It is important to teach them all these skills early. They are very moldable in the sense that what you do at an early stage will stick with them until the end. So say for instance if you want them to be excellent fore’s, then you need to provide opportunities and teach them to forage for food in the beginning.

Depending on when you get your baby bird, it is recommended that an experienced breeder feed them at first. But if this is not the case, you can still feed them with care. Baby birds must be fed several times during the day because they are always hungry. Also, you should observe a certain pattern and be consistent.

The key is to make sure that your bird is fed on disinfected food and utensils. Baby birds have a very weak immune system, so they must be arranged in the utmost care or else they would suffer from many infections and diseases. It may sound scary now, but it is scarier to have your baby bird falls ill at the start.

Food should be fed in more fluid style food at the beginning and gradually moving toward more solid food. The amount of food should be more in the beginning and gradually wind down. That's because the baby needs a lot of nutrients from the beginning. Again after some time, they can go to seed and pellets.

Always remember to spend as much time with the bird as possible. After they are made from hand feeding, you can begin to let the forage around for food. By getting the bird to begin foraging the food, then it will begin to learn skills much earlier. By spending time and teach your baby bird tricks from the start, it feels very comfortable with people, especially with you as a parent.

If you are afraid of all the responsibilities, which is okay. It is probably easier to allow professionals to hand feed the bird. As long as you visit frequently and spend more time at the beginning of the bird, so you can be sure that the bird will not have a problem with you and will grow to be very friendly.
