The judokas fetched three gold, the shuttlers bagged two more and cycling yielded another as India continued their domination on day four of the 11th South Asian Games Monday. The Indians also added one silver and four bronze medals to their kitty to lead the standings with 11 gold, one silver and five bronze medals.
Mahita Mohan won the women’s cycling 50km road race. India also won a bronze in the event through Rameshwari Devi. Shuttlers won both the men’s and women’s team events.
The women’s trio of Trupti Murugunde, Sayali Gokhale and P.C. Thulasi won the first gold, before the men’s team of Chetan Anand, Guru Sai Dutt and Aditya Prakash earned the second. Anand gave India the 1-0 lead when he prevailed over Lankan No 1 Niluka Karunaratne 21-12, 21-18.
