Rain delays start of play in India-South Africa Test

The start of the fourth day's play in the second and final Test between India and South Africa on Wednesday was delayed due to over night light rain.

Scorecard

South Africa, 1-0 up in the series, were six without loss in their second innings when play was called off early on the third day due to poor light.

India took a lead a of 347 after declaring on 643/6, with Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Vangipurappu Laxman and Mahendra Singh Dhoni all scoring centuries.

The umpires will inspect the ground again at 9:30 a.m. South Africa are bidding to win their first Test series in India for a decade, which will also reclaim the top ranking after the tourists won the opening Test in Nagpur by an innings.
