Why Open air and sunlight is an important part of well-being a parrot ?

Parrots require open space, fresh air and direct sunlight much more often than you think. Although they sleep at night as you during the day it is in their nature to get some sunlight and get some investigation going. If your parrot is constantly kept in an enclosed space such as a parrot cage, so it would be extremely difficult for them to spend their time enjoyably. Excessive time in the cage would lead to grief, loneliness and refusal to be friendly. Some alternatives, such as java tree stands, bird stands and play top cages are proposed and will be discussed more below.

Why would a parrot want so much fresh air and space? The most obvious answer is that the animals used to fly about and spend their time in the open space in the woods. Parrots are very active and curious, so any time not spent in a cage, means more opportunities to play and explore. This is a critical key to their wellbeing. Sure you may sometimes fear that they may make a mess sometimes, but generally they are very tame and will not mess with a lot of your stuff.

One hint that your parrot wants to come out and play occurs when you see it try to open a door lock with its beak. This is not intended to destroy the lock, but you parrot just want to get out and play. Often many locks do not have the capacity to withstand a parrot intelligence. Like many videos and experience would show, a parrot would probably find out the latch end. Therefore, sometimes a lot of bird owners would actually put a lock requiring a key to open. This type of lock would be impossible to choose - at least for now.

In any case, parrots spend more time outside the birdcage. They can see what is around and play with anything. Sometimes a cage as a cage playtop would help them to get active without flying all over. Some other times, would place the bird owners bird stands that are made especially for the parrot to hang out. These bird stands will include toys, food, water and everything else that a parrot needs to do his experiences outside of the cage more enjoyable.

Ultimately a parrot just want to spend time and hang with you. A much more appropriate place for a parrot to hang out, is actually on your shoulder. While you're doing many different activities, your feathered friend would enjoy the game and experience everything. It will really enjoy your pet for health, fun and games. Otherwise, spend too much time in captivity will only make your pet resent you. After all, you would not want to be hanging in your house all day.

Other suggestions are that you may get some Java-tree stands in homes also. In this way the tree stand can complement the parrot cage and allows your parrot to spend time in a more natural like surrounding. In any event, your bird have become much happier have the opportunity to be outside. It may not be the Amazons, but at least your feathered game companion will feel somewhat at home.
