Why Macaw parrots are Great Pets?

Macaw parrots are parrots that are highly intelligent, train, flexible and humorous. 
They have different varieties, and each shows distinctive features that generally represent a very good pet.


They vary in size (measured from head to tail), color and temperament. 
For the most part, they are generally taken care in similar ways whether they require different sizes in their cages.


Life expectancy of these parrots is also large and may be about 50 years to 80 years. 
If you're choosing what Macaw Parrot you want as a pet, there is a lot of varieties you can choose from. Some of your choices will include:


Blue Gold Macaw - Its length is 33.9 inches, which is relatively large compared to the smallest black with 12 inches. It has blue wings and tail, dark blue chin, forehead, green and golden chest, but in some other birds of the same variety, especially those found in the Caribbean or Trinidad has orange chests.


Scarlet Macaw - Another possibility could be that variety which has a length of 33.3 inches almost as large as previously mentioned black. As expected, they make good pets for most owners who can handle them quite well.


Green Wing Macaw - This is the second to the largest black with a length of 36 inches. It's great temperament, very intelligent and can easily be handled by any person. Basic knowledge about raising this pet is a necessity.

Pet owners should exercise patience by giving them time every day to socialize and train, so the bird will grow happy and satisfied.


You should be aware of their diet to be composed of organic pellets.


Nuts and seeds should be exclusively dealing with alone.


Offering them a range of foods such as fruits and vegetables.
