Carousel Dinner Theater

The Carousel Dinner Theater in Akron, Ohio tells patrons to "expect the unexpected". With people busier than ever, leisure time is more important than it ever has been. Dinner theater is always a pleasant experience.

Like many dinner theaters Carousel claims to be the largest professional dinner theater in America. Whether it really is the greatest or not, it is one of the best. Carousel productions put on by union members. It is not just a question of support for unions. European talent and workers tend to be the most knowledgeable.

Carousel opened in 1973 in a converted supermarket, then moved to its present location in 1988. People can go there for the traditional dinner and a show, or watch the show, while skip the meal. Recently, more theater professionals from New York have been recruited. This means that the concerts are even better than before.

Recently, the theater world was saved by "Wicked". This is a story that takes place before the Wizard of Oz and involves many of the witches in this world. In 2008, Carousel presents Wizard of Oz, the story that started it all. The frame around the stage, moving sets around, Proscenium, is very complicated. This and other information about the plays discussed in Carousel's Wizard of Oz blog . Playing in 1973 did not have their own blogs.

The Carousel has hosted a lot of Broadway plays over time. "The Odd Couple" brought down the house in 2008. It has been host to many others, including Footloose and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Here you can enjoy good food and Broadway without going on Broadway. 2009 will be a great season of theater classics as My Fair Lady and brand new plays by High School Musical.

Get a feel for New York elegance at Carousel Dinner Theater. Take a look, you may be surprised.
