Celebrating the Best Actor At The Awards

The Academy Awards show will recognize films, actors, writers, producers, film editors, etc. for their skills. It is a great thing for anyone to walk on the red carpet at the Oscars, and it is also a great thing for the general public. If a player wins the best actor and best actress award, so he or she is considered to be a really great actor. It is quite interesting to learn the story behind this ancient tradition.

It was about eighty years ago that the Academy Awards show started. The show was created as a way to recognize and assign actors and actresses who gave excellent performances. The Oscar award is a statue of a knight holding a sword, standing on top of a film roll. At first, an actor celebrated for his or her overall performance in all their films. This was very confusing, so they changed it to highlight just a great movie every year. The best actor and best actress prizes go to that person. In the earliest years, all the players into one category, regardless of whether they were the main stars or not. But shortly after switching organizations such as the Screen Actors Guild and the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories were introduced. The change was made because it was the only driver to win prices because their roles gave them more time on screen. In the first year should be only an American actor, regarded as a price. Now, of course other countries are well represented.

With the Academy Awards, which have persisted for so long, it might seem that there has been a lot of repeat winners for best actor. However, this event is actually quite rare. Movie actors who have won more than a statue includes names like: Spencer Tracy, Fredric March, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Cooper and Dustin Hoffman. Almost every actor has ambitions to win an Oscar at a time. Normally this prestigious award is only given to the dramatic character actor performances. Comedy is usually over-seen when it comes to handing out the acting offers, which are young actors.

In recent years, the category of "animated picture" has been added and they are usually cheerful film, but apart from special effects, film editing or music, these are usually not counted among the films nominated for the players. Of course there are always exceptions to this rule. Host for Oscars are usually something of a comic pro. Jokes are made throughout the night on the actors and actresses, and depending on the host, political jokes are made so well.

It's really nice to see that there is a way to celebrate the movie actors and their talent. This is exactly what the Oscar show is doing. Normally, anyone who wins the best actor and best actress award is a great actor and deserves to be recognized. It is quite amazing that something that started so small has grown into the big production that it is today. It is rare that people get the recognition they deserve, but the Oscar offers this possibility. Hooray for Hollywood!
