And if you choose carefully, you can start with magic tricks that do not require a lot of props, or just use the bits and pieces you probably already have around the house. This is certainly the case with card tricks.

So where can you find free magic tricks? Here are a few ideas to start with:

- Library
- Internet
- Friends

With so much information at your fingertips on the internet, sometimes it's easy to forget your local library. Most of the library network will have at least a few magic tricks books in their catalog. This can be a really good place to start because you can flip through the book, choose a trick or two that interest you and which do not require a lot of props, and then try to execute them. A magical book is a much simpler way to check a whole lot of options you may have never even thought of, then use that information to search the web for free information or videos on these special tricks.

The Internet is a great place to find free magic tricks. There are so many things available, it is simply to find something. Type in a basic search and you will come up with lots of options. Of course it might be better if you know what kind of magic trick you want to do, so you can define your search more effectively. For example, search for free magic card tricks, if it interests you.

The other useful thing about the Internet is You Tube. There are many videos as you can see for free. Again, if you can be more specific in your search request, you can avoid wasting time trawling through irrelevant videos that will not teach you anything. You should be able to find a couple of instructional videos, if you keep your eyes open.

Finally, it may be worth asking if your friends have no experience with magic, or maybe a relative who does. If you can find a magician who is willing to spend an hour or two to help you master some basic tricks for free, so you've really struck gold.

Become a magician is a wonderful way to boost your confidence and entertain friends and family. So if you can try it for free with help from a couple of free magic tricks, you will quickly discover if the magic suits you, without parting out a fortune.
