The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday increased banks' disclosure norms by asking them to provide more details on deposits, loans, bad loans and off-balance sheet units.
The RBI said banks should disclose the concentration of deposits, loans, sector-wise non-performing assets (NPAs), movement of NPAs, overseas assets, NPAs and revenue and off-balancesheet special purpose vehicles.
These details should be furnished in banks' balance sheets from the year ending March 2010.
