Samsung Electronics, which is expecting its dual sim phones to contribute 15 per cent of its total handset volumes this year, will launch its own Operating System, Bada, in the second quarter of next fiscal, said Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Director, Mobile and IT, Samsung India here on Wednesday.
He was here on the occasion of the launch of two new dual sim handsets (B-5722 and Duos 259) taking the number of company's dual sim handsets to six, including GSM and CDMA segments, in the range of Rs. 4,620-10,650.
He explained that dual sim phones were becoming the answer to consumers looking for better performance, value addition, segregation of numbers for personal and official transactions and attractive propositions from different service providers without the necessity of carrying two or three handsets.
