Sensex down on broad selloff

 Twenty out of 30 shares at Sensex were down while all the 13 sectors were trading red. The 30-share index Sensex was hit by near 0.4 per cent while the broad-based Nifty slipped by 0.45 per cent.

Tracking weak dollar index, IT and technology stocks were the most hit stock on Monday. IT index was down by 0.9 per cent while banking and technology stocks were trading red by near half a per cent. Sensex heavy weight Reliance Industries was down by near 0.4 per cent while NMDC was down by 2.8 per cent.

IT major, Infosys was hit by near 1.2 per cent, Patni Computers was down by 0.8 per cent while Rolta was down by near 0.5 per cent. Except Kotak Mahindra Bank all the banking stocks listed in banking index were hit on Monday. Indusind Bank was leading the list of losers by  2 per cent loss, ICICI was hit by 1.3 per cent, Yes bank slipped by near 1 per cent while SBI was trading red by 0.85 per cent.

Realty stocks were trading red by about 0.7 per cent. Realty major, DLF was down by near 1 per cent, Indiabulls Real Estate was hit by 0.8 per cent while Unitech was down by about 0.65 per cent.
