Take your dog with you on holiday and you do not have to worry about him while you're away

To go on vacation, can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare for families who have a dog. You've booked the perfect vacation at the perfect destination, but before you can go anywhere you need to figure out who should look after your pets while you are away and how you will know that he is ok without you around. You can try and get a friend to take care of him, but it is a big ask, especially if you go away for longer than a few days. The alternative is to find a PET-sitter or boarding facility, but that is hard to know which ones are trustworthy and you know you only end up spending your vacation worry about whether he is happy and being properly cared for

There has to be a better alternative. Pets are family after all and it seems reasonable that they be left behind while everybody else is off having fun on vacation. Luckily for dog owners, more and more holiday companies are aware this is a question and Restaurant offers accommodations in only a small additional cost. OK, so you can not take them on a plane to the other side of the world, but if you're planning your vacation a bit closer to home, it is worth considering taking them with you - you would not have to worry about them slipping backward, and it is usually cheaper than paying a pet-sitter or house to care for them.

Wales is a good place to choose for a family with a dog. Not only is there a large selection of different types of self catering accommodation, from apartments and houses in the city to country cottages, Wales also boasts some of the most spectacular landscapes in England. And what dog would not love the chance to drive around in the famous Welsh hills and valleys, or along one of the beautiful shores with their sandy beaches and striking rock faces.

It is not only your dog will love Wales wealth of attractions and activity holidays for the rest of the family, not to mention the opportunity to explore a country that is not only beautiful but rich in history, culture and entertainment. So if you're looking for the perfect place to take the whole family - even the dog - for a short break, Wales could be the answer you've been looking for.

Hi, just found your blog and found this article really interesting. As someone who lives and goes on many cottage holidays in Wales I fully agree with you - there are many stunning areas in Wales and it's a very pet friendly place to come on holiday.

I've just set up the following website - www.bestofwales.co.uk to promote 4 and 5 star holiday cottages in Wales - many of which welcome pets.

You can do an advanced search to filter the cottages that allow pets and they're pretty impressive - even if I say so myself. :-)

If you get the time to look at the website I'd really welcome your feedback and any help you could offer in promoting it. You would be welcome to write a review on it as well if you want.

Many thanks,
Llion
