Sweeteners in Sugar-Free Recipes

There are many different sweeteners, which works well as alternatives to sugar. Learn about the use of natural sweeteners in the article: Natural Sugar Substitutes - Stevia & Erythritol. Other sweeteners include:

    * Aspartame & sugar sweet - These sweeteners can be used as a substitute for sugar in beverages or other uncooked foods, but does not tolerate heat well. Both Aspertame and sugar sweetener has an aftertaste that can change the taste of food as well.

    * Sucralose, the main ingredient in Splenda is a no-calorie artificial sweetener made from sugar. While Splenda contains additives such as dextrose and maltodextrin, which affects blood sugar, pure sucralose dissolves easily in water and can withstand cooking good, so it can be used to sweeten any type of sugar-free recipe.

Mixing sweeteners are a good way to get a taste and texture that mimics the sugar closely, without any adverse health effects. With experimentation and substitution, can all create their own tasty sugar-free recipes.
