Chocoholics go crazy for this luscious dessert. Its super easy and fun to make and will make you a big hit at parties.

For the ultimate in decadent desserts, it is hard to beat chocolate in any form. From pie to cake to candy to drinks, excitement chocolate connoisseurs, chefs and dinner guests from around the world. Put a chocolate fountain at your next party and see who does not stand by it all night. Chocolate is just everyone's favorite, and the sinful chocolate chip pie recipe is sure to be a hit with your family at every holiday gathering.

Ingredients

    * A 9-inch deep-dish frozen pie shell
    * 2 large eggs
    * ½ c. flour
    * ½ c. pure cane sugar
    * ½ c. dark brown sugar
    * ¾ c. softened butter (1 ½ stick)
    * ¾ c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    1 * c. minced walnuts

Directions

   1st In a large mixing bowl add eggs and whisk them thoroughly.
   2nd Add flour and whisk until completely mixed.
   3rd Place both sugars in a small bowl and use a fork blend them thoroughly.
   4th Add both sugars and the flour / egg mixture and blend.
   5th Add softened butter and blend. (The easiest way to soften butter, letting it sit on the counter until it is completely soft. This will not destroy butter. Butter does not destroy itself at room temperature.)
   6th Add chocolate morsels and walnuts, stirring them in slowly. Be careful not to touch and cause premature melting.
   7th Place mixture in pie shell. (Be sure to thaw the pie shell completely before using.)
   8th Bake at 325 degrees for one hour or until top is golden brown and firm to touch.
   9th To test doneness, insert a toothpick or knife toward the center of the cake. If it comes out moist, but not drag mixed with the pie can be removed from the oven and place on rack to cool.

As an extra touch, you can sprinkle extra chocolate morsels on top along with some Fluff (marshmallow bottle) and then brown it slightly under broiler for a few seconds. Be careful not to burn. You can also serve with the ice cream or homemade whipped cream.
Some juicy Alternatives

What's really funny about this recipe is how many different ways you can turn it into something different and yet wonderful. For example, instead of making a pie, make a chocolate cake Napoleon by layering ingredients between filo dough. You can download pre-made Filo dough in the frozen dessert area at your local grocery store, probably near the frozen pie shells. Follow baking instructions that come with Filo dough. You can also use Filo and this recipe (sans crust) to make amazing chocolate chip pies. Or mix all ingredients and turn them into your favorite cake batter. The sky's the limit, and when chocolate is involved, it is all good.
