Indian American doctor charged with drug trafficking

Washington, June 27 (IANS) An Indian American doctor has been indicted by a federal grand

jury on 202 counts of drug trafficking and related violations that entail a fine in excess of

$500,000.

The indictment charges Narendra Kumar Agrawal, 59, of Galion, Ohio with engaging in a scheme

to distribute nearly 500,000 tablets of narcotic controlled drugs like Percocet, Vicodin, Lortab,

Loricet and Xanax to various individuals without a legitimate medical purpose, according to the

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
