Food Festivals in Jersey, Channel Islands

The Jersey is a fantastic holiday destination for people with a penchant for fine dining and especially those who like all types of fish and shellfish. 

Channel Islands are a group of unique island located in the Channel, near the coast of France. These islands include Jersey, Guernsey, Aldermen, Shark and Herm, with all four is very popular holiday destination. 
Jersey, Channel Islands 

Jersey is the largest of all the Channel Islands and along with Guernsey is known as an offshore financial center with the financial industry is the largest source of employment. Furthermore, all islands known for their excellent standards of cuisine, from exclusive fine dining to casual beach cafe with freshly caught seafood is a local specialty. 
Travel to Jersey 

Jersey is easily accessible by ferry, making it ideal for those from France and Britain who want to bring their car over to the island. Regular races are provided by both Condor Ferries and Manchu Lies Express from St Milo, Granville, Portsmouth, Weymouth and Poole

Air travel is convenient from both mainland Europe and the United Kingdom with flights several airports, including Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton, Birmingham, Exeter, Edinburgh, London City and London Gatwick. Fete De La Mar in Gory, Jersey 22 May is having a local Seafood Festival in Gory, which is ideally combined with a visit to the spectacular Mont Orgies Palace. Along Gory Pier will be a wide range of traditional seafood, entertainment and dining. 

Jersey Fish Festival 

In July there is the Jersey Fish Festival celebrates the island's sea fisheries industry, which is located at Victoria Pier with entertainment 10:00 to 22:00. Included is a dedicated dining area with various stalls offering local seafood specialties, local cider and beer. In addition, there will be a water carnival, sea shanty bands, local produce and crafts market. 

For food-lovers will also be several cooking demonstrations throughout the day both French and Jersey chefs.


Jersey Tennerfest 

The Tennerfest is a real highlight this year and is very popular with locals and visitors to the island equally. Many restaurants and cafes offering affordable, high quality dishes from as little as £ 10 for three dishes. Running from October until November 12th, it is a great way to sample some of Jersey culinary delights at very cheap prices. 

On Jersey is without doubt a great location for those with a passion for fine dining, offering beautiful scenery and a wide selection of both exclusive and informal restaurants. As highlighted above, Tennerfest is an ideal opportunity to enjoy good food at affordable rates.
