Use same force against terrorists: Krishna

ON BOARD SPECIAL AIRCRAFT: India has asked Pakistan to “go after” terrorists directing their activities against India with the “same force”, as it has against the Taliban on its border with Afghanistan.
External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna made this observation when asked about the perceived dichotomy in Pakistan’s approach in battling terrorists on its eastern and western borders.
Mr. Krishna said India also expected Pakistan to take action against Hafiz Saeed, chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, whom India believes is behind the Mumbai attacks. He pointed out that Pakistan had indicated its intention to appeal against his release, and said India would prefer to wait and see what action was actually taken against him. However, he felt that Pakistan should take action against “any terrorist” heading an organisation that “takes a position aimed against India.”
