Bengali Cinema


Bengali cinema are the countries most prestigious and award-winning film world, which has internationally renowned directors, actors, cameramen and other technicians. Among other regional language films are Bengali film, best known for their rich content and forms. Many attempts have been made in the Bengali film. Since its inception, the Bengali movie gone through high and low, but has never compromised on quality. It is the Bengali movie world, as other language film personalities have achieved their qualifications. In short, Bengali filmdom is the leaning environment for hindi and other language films.


Bengali filmdom has the distinction of producing solid like Satyajit Ray, who is among the ten world leaders. Besides, Ray in Ritwik Ghatak, Bimal Roy and Mrinal Sen are the other big names in film direction. They are also counted among the best instructors in the world. While Ray was an Oscar for his life time achievement and France's highest civilian award Legion of Honor and Bharat ratna India, Sen received France's Commander of Arts and Letters and the Russian Order of Friendship award. - Honors none other filmmakers in India have received so far. Honor travel is still on. The current filmmakers as Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Gautam Ghsoh, Aparna Sen and Ghosh Rituparnao is also internationally acclaimed film personalities. 



Several Bengali films have won national and international awards. These include Pathe Panchali, Apure SANSAR, Aparajita - an Apu trilogy, Charulata, Simabaddha, Asani Sanket, Arany Dinratri, Nayak, Gupi Gaine and Bagha Bain and other films of Satyajit Ray, Meghe Dhaka Tara by Ritwik Ghatak, Calcutta 71, Padatik and other films by Mrinal Sen Many recent films have also earned praise at home and abroad. 



Hiralal Sen is rated among India's first film directors. Although Sen is the producer of Silent Movies, but it was the call of the period. Talkies not come to India when Sen. worked. Sen was also rated among the country's pathfinders of AD films.
