On the basis of the material are the lenses fall into two categories

* Rigid eyes permeable.

Soft lenses, as the name implies, soft in nature. They are made of soft polymer plastic. There is also water present in the entire composition. Water is used to enable easy passage of oxygen. Adequate oxygen circulation is watching and healthy lens wearing more comfortable. Their soft material makes them less durable compared to rigid gas permeable them. Some soft lenses also protect your eyes against ultraviolet rays. Now some negative about them. When they are soft they get damaged easily. They tend to absorb the soap or other creams while using them in the face. All this on soft contact lenses, now stiff them. They are made using silicone polymers. Polymer allows oxygen to reach eye cornea. They retain their shape better compared to their counterparts. The disadvantage is that they are hard to get adjusted. It takes time to get familiar with them.

Soft lenses are put into different uses. They are colored and disposable packaging. Colored lenses offer vision correction with some funky colors to the user's iris. There are four types of colored contact lenses.

* Visibility tones not change eye color. They are tinted in order to increase their visibility so they can be found easily if they are dropped.

* Enhancement tones are slightly darker than the previous one. With their transparent color to enhance eye color.

* Color tones are colored lenses, and they change eye color. They come in different colors like blue, green, purple and etc.

* Light-filtering shades are another class of colored contacts. They have no effect on eye color, instead they promote a particular color gives a better view of objects of that particular color. For example, if a user wears a lens that increases red as he / she would see red objects more clearly than others. Such lenses are mainly used by athletes.

User's eyes do not have to contend with irritating cleansing solution. They are very useful for people with allergy problems. Silicone extended wear disposables are more durable and can be used for thirty days and nights. They are made of silicone hydrogel.

There are bifocal lenses for people with presbyopia problems. They are available in both soft and rigid gas permeable lenses. Correcting astigmatism Toric contacts used. They also come in both types and has two great powers which Bifocal lenses.
