Samsung launches Jet 2 in India

Samsung has announced the launch of its mobile handset named Jet 2 in India which is the next in line to the Jet S8000, launched last year.

The new Jet 2 has mostly the same features as the earlier Jet along with some software updates. The hardware of the two models is almost identical.

Samsung said that the new model combines "intelligent functional and user-friendly interface". The phone features 3D-interface and 3.1 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen. It also supports TouchWiz 2.0 UI and its offers DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology.

As for the connectivity solutions the phone offers Wi-Fi. GPS is also enabled in the handset. The camera of the phone has a resolution of 5MP.

The phone runs on 800MHz processor. The Samsung Dolphin browser facilitates web browning on the handset while it also supports and other Java based browsers and like Opera Mini. The model has some UI enhancements which the company says will provide a "superior and differentiated experience."
