One of the things we see lots of Internet marketers do is to put their full focus on Google and their search engine rankings, to the exclusion of all other search engines.
At first glance, this makes sense, because Google has by far the largest market share, that more people use Google to identify what they want on the Internet than any other search engine.
But because more people use it, more advertisers are drawn to it and advertise with Google, so it often results in more competition and pushes up the cost to advertise.
Have you ever considered that focus on some of the less prominent search engine? Or at least put some focus on them?
Yahoo and MSN are two examples of search engines that still gets a significant number of people who use them (obviously not to the level that Google does), however, some cases we have researched there is very little, and if your really lucky no competition on paid advertising with these engines in particular niches.
Thats right, it is possible for you to be the only advertiser paid for a particular niche. Of course this could change at any time and people will get savvier about this as word comes out.
What if you can get your website listed a prominent place in these search engines result pages but also advertising your site using their paid advertising!
Now you will naturally want to make sure that you also use Google to focus on getting good rankings in their search engine results, but do not ignore these other search engines.
One thing we tell people is to try to bring in as much traffic as you can from as many sources as possible.
We think you'll be happy with 1,000 visitors a day on which it may well increase this by 100% or more by using some of the other traffic sources described on this website?
You want as many visitors as possible, not you. Sure you want them to be targeted and qualified visitors and not just random people surfing at (unless you have a fantastic product that everyone in the world wants). If you have such product let me know so I'd probably want to invest in your business!
When considering to find out more about free search engine submission, it pays to do a little research first as an additional way to move forward quickly! See sharks out there!
You just need a little foresight to expand your horizons. We tell people to spend some time looking at the bigger picture and work out where you want your website to be. Always focus on what your site is, or looks like from a visitor perspective. Great content that is relevant to the visitor will ramp up your sales in no time flat!
