Alice in Chains Dirt

Alice in Chains is known for grunge. Alice in Chains Dirt was the name of their second studio album. Here's more about both the group and album.

Before Alice in Chains Dirt Group had to get their start. They formed in Seattle, Washington. It was considered a grunge band, but also incorporates heavy metal elements. They rose to grunge prominent in the early 1990s. 14 million of their albums sold in this decade. They twice reached number one on Billboard 200 11 of their singles made it to the top. They were also nominated six times for Grammy. 

They were productive even before Alice in Chains Dirt. They signed with Columbia Records in 1989 and became a top priority for the label. Columbia could not wait to release their first album. Facelift that the album was released on 21 August 1990. It made it to number 42 when Billboard 200 It sold a paltry 40,000 copies in six months. But after it was shown on MTV 400,000 copies were sold in six weeks. It was a huge success.

Alice in Chains Dirt deals a lot with addiction and depression. It was because of the dependence of one of the band members. He just completed rehab. He immediately returned to heroin use. The rumor is that many members of the band was on marijuana while shooting 

The band toured while writing Alice in Chains Dirt. It is not easy to perform. The resulting album was depressing. Members say that the demons they accumulated during the day was prepared, as they wrote and played their music.
